Santa Letter #2

Dear [Child's First Name],

I am writing this from my workshop as the snow is falling and the wind is blowing – it must be Christmastime again! Our big trip to [Hometown] is coming up and we can’t wait to stop by [Hometown] to bring you your presents! It won’t be long!

Just the other day it was time to decorate our big Christmas tree, so the elves joined Mrs. Claus and me in the great Hall to help out. We were also careful hanging all the delicate ornaments on the tree and stringing the lights so they didn’t get tangled up. When we were done Mrs. Claus brought out the tinsel for us to hang on the branches. Just then the timer went off for the cookies Mrs. Claus was baking, so we went into the kitchen to take them out of the oven. While we were gone, the reindeer sneaked into the hall and hung tinsel everywhere! There were shiny silver strings hanging from the chandeliers, the plants, and furniture. It was a winter wonderland indoors! Mrs. Claus and I thought it was very pretty but not very practical, so the reindeer put all the tinsel back on the tree and we all had a good laugh.

Keep doing your best, [Child’s First Name], and the reindeer and I will be heading your way soon. You’ve been so good this year we just can’t wait you can on your Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas!

Love,

Santa Claus

P.S. In case I don’t have time to write to every boy and girl, tell [Friend’s Name] I’ll be bringing presents, too!
